Lines of Sight: 17 paintings, 6 compositions, 1 image. Each painting acts as an individual object, using the physical structure of the canvas as a compositional tool. I confront both the physicality of painting and its relationship to its surroundings by treating each canvas as an individual element that together, make a composition. The wall is the space where these elements interact. The space between the separate canvases suggest that there is a force that brings them together and that simultaneously sets them apart. Just as the elements depend on each other, they depend on the wall.
